coupe du prix de thèse
  • Type: Autre

Dear colleagues,

The board of GERM is pleased to announce that our thesis prize shall be awarded during our next conference, the FBNL (French Benelux Magnetic Resonance), which will be held from June 2nd to 5th at the LILLIAD Learning Centre Innovation of the University of Lille.

To honour the memory of our Vice-President from 2023 to 2025, this thesis prize shall be renamed the Jean-Nicolas Dumez Thesis Prize

It is intended for a young doctor, who defended their thesis between January 1st and December 31st 2025 in France in the field of magnetic resonance (NMR, EPR, MRI).

The application procedure will be as follows:

1) Candidates must submit an application file consisting of:

- a CV of no more than two pages;

- a list of scientific publications resulting from the thesis;

- a description of less than 500 words of the three main achievements related to their thesis work;

- the thesis manuscript.

This file must be sent in a single PDF document before January 15th 2026 to: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

2) After evaluation of the applications received, three finalists will be selected and notified before the 28th of February 2026.

They will be required to produce a 3-minute video presenting their thesis work to the GERM community by April 15th at the latest. This should be a scientific presentation (not an outreach video) that is nevertheless accessible to all members of the resonance community. These videos will be used to assess the communication skills of the candidates and establish the final ranking. The winner will also receive a stipend covering the conference registration fees.

3) The three videos will be broadcast at the GERM general meeting, which will be held during the FBNL conference.

More details about the prize and the conference are available on the GERM association’s website: https://www.germ-asso.fr/en

Please feel free to share this message with your colleagues.

We are looking forward to seeing you in Lille.
